-The Records: The San Diego women's basketball team closes out the first round of Mountain West Conference play Saturday when it plays host to Wyoming at 2 p.m. at Cox Arena. The Aztecs are coming off a 76-45 loss Wednesday evening against its second consecutive ranked opponent in No. 18 New Mexico, while the Cowgirls went the distance with rival Colorado State, claiming a 87-80 victory at home in overtime. SDSU, which has a week off following Saturday's contest, is 3-14 overall and 0-7 in league action, while Wyoming is 13-4 overall and 3-3 in conference play.

-San Diego State Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the first year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She coached the Aztecs from 1989 to 1997 and has a school record of 154-97 in nine seasons. Her 14-year head coaching record stands at 235-162.

-Wyoming Head Coach Joe Legerski: Legerski is in his third year at Wyoming and has a school and career record of 40-34.

-Wyoming Series History: Wyoming leads the series 14-13, however, SDSU owns an 8-5 advantage in games played in San Diego (Last: Wyoming def. SDSU, 69-66, in San Diego, Calif., on Feb. 17, 2005).

Aztec Basketball Notes Update - Post New Mexico Game

-SDSU redshirt sophomore Erin Jackson made her first career start at New Mexico, recording a career high in points for the second consecutive outing... Jackson had a team-high 14 points and also grabbed a season-best five rebounds... in the last three games, Jackson, who missed 2004-05 due to injury, is averaging 9.7 points on 12-for-16 shooting (.750) and 3.7 rebounds per game.

-Jackson started in place of senior guard Veronica Shaw, who saw her streak of 20 straight starts come to an end... this season, only two Aztecs have played and started in all 17 games - senior forward Michelle Strawberry and junior center Desiree Johnson ... Strawberry has the longest active streak of consecutive starts with 45 ... true freshman Tamika Lipford also returned to the starting five for the first time since injuring her knee on Dec. 30 ... sophomore Kate Eveland started in Lipford's place for six games.

-With her 13 points at New Mexico, Michelle Strawberry has scored in double-figures in 14 of 17 outings in 2005-06, including in five of seven conference contests... Strawberry has scored 10 points or more in a game 37 times in her Aztec career.

-New Mexico recorded an SDSU opponent high nine three-pointers in Wednesday's game and committed a season-low seven turnovers... the Aztecs 13 turnovers tied as second fewest this season, behind their 11 giveaways against Utah.
