SAN DIEGO - San Diego State men's golf senior Andrew Scott has been named as the co-Mountain West Conference Golfer of the Month for November, sharing the honor with Seung-su Han of UNLV. This marks the first time Scott has received this honor.
Scott and Han finished in a four-way tie for first place with a 2-under 214 at the University of Hawaii Fall Intercollegiate in Kaneohe, Hawaii, Nov. 7-9. Both players lost in a four-hole playoff to New Mexico State's Robert Goff, who claimed medalist honors.
Scott (Henderson, Nev.) set a season-best 54-hole score as he carded rounds of 72, 69 and 73 to finish the tournament with a 214. In five tournaments this season, Scott has carded a 72.93 stroke average to rank third on the team and 14th in the MWC.
He has two top-10 finishes this fall, including a sixth-place finish at the Fresno State Lexus Golf Classic and his first-place showing at the Hawaii Fall Intercollegiate. Scott is currently ranked in the top-150 collegiate golfers in the nation in the Golfweek/Sagarin polls (as of 11/14).
