TEAM NOTES

* - San Diego State improves to 4-6 overall and 3-4 in Mountain West Conference play. The Aztecs, which were picked to finish eighth in the league in the preseason media poll, will end the day in a tie for fifth place in the MWC.

* - The Aztecs have won consecutive road games (at Utah (10/15/05) and at CSU (11/12/05)) for the first time since the 2000 campaign when San Diego State won at Brigham Young (10/21/00) and at New Mexico (11/4/05).

* - SDSU has won 14 straight games when owning at least a 14-point lead at any point during the game.

* - The Aztecs improve to 17-2 in the Craft era when leading after three quarters.

* - San Diego State ended Colorado State's bid for a perfect home record in 2005, snapping the Rams' four-game winning streak at Hughes Stadium. That is the second significant home field win streak SDSU has broken this season as the Aztecs ended Utah's 10-game homefield win streak. The Utes' winning-streak was the sixth longest nationally when San Diego State claimed the victory back on Oct. 15. Utah and Colorado State are a combined 8-0 at home this season when not facing the Aztecs (not counting TCU's game tonight against UNLV in Fort Worth, Texas).

* - San Diego State has won on three of its last four visits to Hughes Stadium, claiming victories in 1999, 2001 and 2005. Since the beginning of the 1999 season, Colorado State is 26-10 at home, including a 1-3 mark against the Aztecs and a 25-7 record against all other teams. During the past seven seasons (since 1999), the Rams have lost home games to San Diego State (3), Brigham Young, Fresno State, Miami (Ohio), Minnesota, New Mexico, UNLV and Utah. In the above period time, no other visiting team has won twice at Hughes Stadium.

* - Of the 22 starters in today's game for San Diego State, there were seven seniors, five juniors, eight sophomores and two freshmen. Of the 22 starters on offense and defense, 15 are scheduled to return next season.

* - San Diego State has won four of its last six road games during the month of November.

* - The Aztecs now own a 13-12 all-time series lead over the Rams. San Diego State snapped Colorado State's three-game series winning streak.

* - SDSU's 17-point halftime lead is the largest the Aztecs have had in 2005 and is the largest for San Diego State since Sept. 4, 2004, when the Aztecs owned a 31-0 advantage over Idaho State (SDSU won the game 38-21). The 20-point halftime lead over a conference opponent is the largest since Oct. 7, 2000 vs. Wyoming. The Aztecs led 24-0 at intermission and eventually won 34-0.

* - The Aztecs were plus-two in the turnover category for the game.

* - SDSU is 10-3 since 2003 when owning an advantage in turnover margin.
