FORT WORTH, Texas - For the second time this season, San Diego State needed just three games to upend TCU as it defeated the Horned Frogs 30-19, 30-26, 30-27 in Fort Worth Friday evening. The victory snapped a three-match losing streak for the Aztecs (15-12 overall, 7-7 Mountain West Conference) and ensured that they will finish .500 or better overall in 2005. TCU lost for the fifth consecutive outing, falling to 15-14 (3-10 MWC).

The SDSU charge was led by middle blocker Lindsey Noll, who led all players with 14 kills and hit .765 over the three games. Her hitting percentage marked a career high for the senior from St. Louis as she committed just one attack error on 17 chances.

Fellow Aztec Melanie Greene contributed her conference-leading 13th double-double of the 2005 campaign with 10 kills and 10 digs. In addition, Brandie Molnar chipped in with 10 kills, five service aces and a pair of blocks.

San Diego State hit .312 as a team for the match while TCU finished with a .202 attack percentage. SDSU recorded 53 kills to 34 by the home side.

The Aztecs now return home to play their final regular-season matches in a two-game home stand next weekend. Up first is a contest against 16th-ranked Brigham Young on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in Peterson Gym. That will be followed by a match vs. Utah the following night (Saturday, Nov. 19) at the same place and time.

Saturday's contest marks 2005 Aztec Senior Night as four players (Ashley Bowker, Lindsey Noll, Melissa Stapley and Angela Verdenacci) making their final home appearance for the Aztecs will be honored prior to the start of the match.
