SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's basketball team will look to even out its 2005-06 exhibition record with a win Saturday against the Arizona Venom, beginning at 4 p.m. at Cox Arena. Admission for Saturday's game is just $3.

The Arizona Venom roster includes 11 former collegiate players from 10 different schools, including two from Grand Canyon University and one, Tamika (Stukes) Daniel, from the University of New Mexico.

The Aztecs will be looking to get back on track after dropping their first exhibition on Tuesday against Team Concept, 65-60. In that game, SDSU led by as many as nine points in the first half, but Team Concept broke a 60-60 tie with a 5-0 run in the final two minutes of play. The Aztecs were led by senior Veronica Shaw's (Phoenix, Ariz.) 16 points, seven rebounds and five steals.

SDSU has split its two exhibition games in five of its last six seasons. The lone exception was in 2004-05, when the Aztecs played just one exhibition, defeating Team Concept, 69-51.

Live stats will be available for Saturday's game via the Internet on www.goaztecs.com.
