KANEOHE, HAWAII - The 18th-ranked San Diego State men's golf team held on to their position at fourth place after finishing the second day of competition at the University of Hawai'i Fall Intercollegiate with a 9-over, 585 first-and second-round score.

After finishing the first day tied for 14th, senior Andrew Scott shot a 3-under 69 in the second round to move up and tie Baylor's Ryan Baca for second place. Scott is just three shots behind individual leader, C.J. Gatto (UNLV), who currently leads the competition with a 138 (-6).

Sophomore Aaron Goldberg moved down seven spots from yesterday to tie for 15th after shooting a 2-over-par, 74. Senior Josh Warthen experienced the same results, as he also moved down three spots to tie for 26th after carding a 74.

Sophomores David Palm moved down to the 39th spot, while Chad Moscovic moved up from 65th to 57th place today.

New Mexico State University remains in first with a 6-under (570) advantage over the competition. No. 8 UNLV (286) is in second with a 2-under 574, followed by No. 24 Baylor with a 3-over 579, just six shots ahead of SDSU.

The Aztecs will conclude the UH Fall Intercollegiate with the final 18-holes tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. HST.
