SEATTLE, Wash. - San Diego State included its first Pac-10 Conference road trip with a 0-0 draw against Washington at Husky Soccer Stadium in Seattle Sunday afternoon. The teams battled through 110 minutes of scoreless to give the Aztecs (7-1-3; 1-1-2 Pac-10) their third tie of the season and sole possession of third place in league play. With the result, the Huskies remain winless in conference play (0-2-1) and are 6-3-1 overall.

With a total of 35 shots between the two teams, both goalkeepers were busy most of the afternoon. SDSU's Tally Hall was called upon to make six saves while UW's Chris Eylander was credited with five. It was the eighth shutout of the season for Hall and the fourth of the year for Eylander.

Aztecs midfielder Dennis Sanchez had four shots while teammate Kraig Chiles recorded three. Husky forward Brett Hite led the home side with four shots as well.

"The game was pretty even overall and both teams had chances," said head coach Lev Kirshner. "We were able to get a result and it's always good to get points on the road.

"Although we're somewhat disappointed with this tie and the loss at Oregon State on Friday, it's all part of the experience of playing tough games on the road, and those games will help us as the season wears on. It's done nothing to diminish the feeling that we can play with any team and be very competitive."

Up next for San Diego State is another pac-10 road contest as it will travel to Los Angeles next Sunday to face 12th-ranked UCLA on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 1:00 p.m. (PDT)
