SAN DIEGO - The 17th-ranked San Diego State men's golf team is in 11th place at 4-under 284 Monday after the first round of the Barona Collegiate Cup in Lakeside, Calif. The second round was postponed due to poor visibility and weather conditions at the par-72, 7,088 yard Barona Creek Golf Course.

Play had already been started in the second round, before being suspended Monday afternoon. The second round will resume Tuesday at 7 a.m. PDT, while the final round will follow immediately after. The tournament field is still scheduled to play 54 holes.

Andrew Scott, Josh Warthen, David Palm and Aaron Goldberg led the Aztecs' first team all carding a 1-under 71 to tie for 34th in a field of 100 players. John Gray finished with a 1-over 73, which is tied for 62nd. Chad Moscovic led all Aztec golfers and the SDSU `B' team with a 25th-place finish, carding a 2-under 70.

BYU led the team competition with an impressive 15-under 273 first-round score. Denver's James Love led in the individual race, after shooting a 10-under 72.
