TEAM NOTES

* The Aztec defense has allowed only 30 points in the last 11 quarters.

* SDSU held UNLV to just 88 yards passing, the fewest by an Aztec opponent since Air Force threw for just 95 yards on Nov. 22, 2003.

* UNLV's second quarter touchdown was its first in 151 minutes and 15 seconds against San Diego State.

*UNLV's winning field goal with nine seconds remaining, broke the Aztecs' streak of 179 minutes and 51 seconds without trailing.

PLAYER NOTES

* Linebacker Freddy Keiaho `s 39-yard fumble recovery was the first of his career.

* Cornerback Terrell Maze forced his first career fumble in the third quarter of today's game.

* Linebacker Joe Martin recorded his first career interception and touchdown in the second quarter.

* Wide Receiver Jeff Webb has now caught a pass in 27 straight games in which he has played. Coming into today's game, his streak of 26 consecutive games was tied for the 13th longest active streak in the country.

* Webb has caught at least three passes in 22 straight games.

* Webb has moved ahead of Monty Gilbreath into seventh place in San Diego State history for career receiving yards. He currently has 2,248 for his career.

* Webb has also has 183 career receptions, just four short of Gilbreath for third all-time in SDSU history.

* Robert Ortiz matched his season-high with six catches today.

* Quarterback Kevin O'Connell's streak of 77 consecutive passes without an interception was broken in the second quarter of today's game. His streak ended at a career-high 88 attempts without an interception. It was first interception since the second game of the season at Air Force.

* Punter Michael Hughes' first quarter punt of 78 yards established a new career high. His longest punt before today was a 58 yarder most recently accomplished at Ohio State earlier this season. The 78-yard boot was the longest by an Aztec player since Noel Prefontaine had an 82-yard kick against New Mexico on Oct. 19, 1996.

* Hughes' first two punts of 78 and 67 yards pinned UNLV inside the their own five yard line. Hughes now has nine punts that have been inside the opponent 20 yard line this season.

* Linebacker Russell Allen intercepted his first career pass in the first quarter this afternoon.

* Michael Franklin's 16-yard punt return in the first quarter was his longest of the season.
