San Diego State Hits the Road Again, Travels to Los Angeles to Face Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine this Friday
* San Diego State (3-7, 1-6 MWC) travels to Los Angeles for a tri-meet against Loyola Marymount (2-2) and Pepperdine (1-1) on Friday at Burns Aquatic Center.

This will be SDSU's fourth consecutive road date with two more to follow (Northern Arizona, Feb. 5; MWC Championships, Feb. 23-26).

This will also be the second time the Aztecs and Lions have faced off this season. In the season opener for both schools (Oct. 16), SDSU defeated LMU, 53-19, at the Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center. The Aztecs, who have not lost to the Lions in five seasons, will look to extend their winning streak to eight.

In addition to keeping alive their seven-meet winning streak versus LMU, the Aztecs will try to improve to 6-0 against the Waves dating back to the 1999-00 season.

Aztecs Return Home For A Doubleheader Against UC Riverside, Northern Arizona On Saturday
* The No. 71 San Diego State men's tennis team (0-1) returns home to face UC Riverside (1-1) and Northern Arizona (0-1) on Saturday after beginning the 2005 campaign on the road last weekend. The UC Riverside match is scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. start, followed by Northern Arizona at 2:30 p.m.

This is third meeting between the Aztecs and Highlanders since 1996 and the first since the 2001 campaign. In the previous two meetings, SDSU has defeated UCR, 7-0, in 2000 and 6-1, in 2001. The Lumberjacks will be facing the Aztecs for the first time in school history.

After a brief two match homestand, the Aztecs will head back to Los Angeles to face UCLA on Feb. 4.

Aztecs Continue Four-Game Homestretch with Matches Against Long Beach State, California
* Coming off of two convincing wins this past weekend, the No. 65 San Diego State women's tennis team plays host to long-time rival 58th-ranked Long Beach State Friday and No. 17 California on Saturday.

The Aztecs' 2-0 start is their second consecutive and eighth in 10 seasons. With the exception of last year, every time SDSU begins the season with two victories, the Aztecs have posted 16 or more wins.

When San Diego State faces off with Long Beach State, the Aztecs will be looking to stay unbeaten against the 49ers. SDSU is 26-0 all-time against its former Big West Conference mate. Last year, San Diego State defeated Long Beach State 5-2 in the 2004 season opener.

Despite their success against the 49ers, the Aztecs have not fared as well against Pac-10 opponent California. In 32 all-time meetings, the Golden Bears boast a 26-6 record versus San Diego State, including a 5-1 win in Berkeley last season.
