LUBBOCK, Texas - The San Diego State volleyball team rebounded from a loss earlier in the day to defeat Boise State, 3-0 (30-21, 30-24, 30-24), at the Red Raider Round-Up being played in Lubbock, Texas. With the win, the Aztecs improve to 4-3 on the season while the loss drops the Broncos' record to 2-3.

Freshman outside hitter Alicia Waller was the lone Aztec to reach double figures in kills for the match, finishing with 11. In addition, she contributed eight digs and four blocks to the winning cause.

SDSU also got nine kills from senior Lindsey Noll and eight from junior Melanie Greene, who had the team's top hitting percentage over the three games at .333. Greene's 16 total digs was her best in two season as an Aztec, and one shy of her career best set against UCLA in 2003 when she was at Washington state.

Libero Aime Cordeiro set a new career high with 24 kills in the match, besting her previous high of 21 set last season in a match at Fresno State. With the 19 kills in the Aztec's match earlier in the day, Cordeiro averaged six digs per game over Friday's two contests.

Middle blocker Lindsey Mahan also notched a personal best with seven block assists. Her prior best effort was a five-block assist match against Wyoming last October.

In the opening game, Noll had five kills and a block while Waller matched her five kills and added three digs. Cordeiro tallied 10 digs to keep Boise State at bay.

The second game saw SDSU trail 13-12 before going on an 8-2 run to take a 20-15 advantage. During that run, Noll had a pair of kills and a block while Greene recorded an ace and a pair of digs.

Game three saw the Aztecs break a 16-16 deadlock with three consecutive points and maintain their lead the rest of the way. With a 26-24 advantage, SDSU got kills from Noll, two from Greene, and a match winner from Audra Dent to secure the victory.

San Diego State will conclude play at the Red Raider Round-Up on Saturday (Sept. 10) when they take on Georgia at noon (CDT).
