COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Senior middle blocker Lindsey Noll tied a career high with 20 kills while leading San Diego State to a 3-1 (30-25, 32-30, 29-13, 30-24) victory over Air Force in Colorado Springs Friday night. It was SDSU's fifth win in its last six matches and seventh in its last nine as it improved to 10-5 overall and 2-1 in the Mountain West Conference. The Falcons, meanwhile, lost for the fifth straight outing to drop to 4-13 (0-3 MWC).

Noll, a transfer from the University of Missouri in her first year at SDSU, matched the 20 kills she recorded against Texas A&M during the 2003 season while she competed for the Tigers. She hit .478 over the four games and also contributed four blocks.

Two other Aztecs finished in double digits in kills as Audra Dent and Lindsey Mahan notched 10 apiece. Libero Aime Cordeiro surpassed the 20-dig plateau for the fifth time this season, recording 21 for the match. Dent also had a team-high five blocks while setters Kristen Castillo and Leah Lathrop had 28 and 24 assists respectively.

In game one, Air Force scored the first three points and although SDSU managed to tie the game five times, the Falcons did not trail until late in the contest. Trailing 25-24, San Diego State scored the final six points of the game with five of those coming on Air Force attack error. Sophomore Brandie Molnar, who led SDSU with five kills in the game, had the final kill to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.

The second game was another close affair with the teams trading points and the lead throughout. At 30-30, SDSU got as pair of kills from junior right side hitter Audra Dent to take the two-point win. Dent had five kills in the game while Noll contributed half a dozen.

Game three saw the score tied on 15 occasions with six lead changes as the contests went back and forth. Trailing 29-27, Air Force rallied for four straight points to capture the contest. Noll's seven kills in the game weren't enough to overcome a dozen hitting errors by her team as it fell 31-29.

In the fourth game, the Aztecs led from start to finish, pulling away late to capture the game and the match. Melanie Greene came off the bench and had a game-high five kills to lead SDSU's offensive attack.

San Diego State now moves on to Albuquerque where it will take on New Mexico tomorrow evening (Saturday, Oct 1) at 7:00 p.m. (MDT).
