SAN DIEGO - UC Riverside received double-digit kill efforts from three players as it defeated San Diego State, 3-0 (30-22, 30-27, 33-31) Saturday morning in Peterson Gym. The match was played as part of the Aztec Invitational being contested at SDSU this weekend.

UCR senior outside hitter led all players with 20 kills while teammates Kelly Crow and Valerie Bueno tallied 11 and 10 respectively.

San Diego State's Melanie Greene turned in the team's first double-double of the season with a team-high 12 kills and 15 digs. Her kill total represented a career best while her 15 digs was her best total in a match in two seasons as an Aztec.

Aztec freshman hitter Alicia Waller just missed a double-double in the third collegiate match as she totaled 10 kills and nine digs over the three games.

SDSU libero Aime Cordeiro continued her strong playing the back row, recording 20 digs, one shy of her career best of 21 set last season at Fresno State. After three matches, the sophomore from Santee is averaging 4.7 digs per game.

The Aztecs are scheduled to resume play later Saturday afternoon when they take on Creighton at 3:00 p.m. in Peterson Gym.
