COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. - The Mountain West Conference has announced on Monday that the Brigham Young at San Diego State game on Oct. 1, originally scheduled to air on ESPN Classic, will now be televised on SportsWest. Kickoff at Qualcomm Stadium is slated for 7:05 p.m. PDT.
"We always do everything possible to serve our fans, so we are disappointed that due to scheduling complications, ESPN Classic is not able to televise the BYU-San Diego State game as originally intended," ESPN Program Manager, Programming and Acquisitions Kurt Dargis said. "However, we're happy that in this case SportsWest is able to step in and carry this game locally for the San Diego State and BYU fans, and we will make it available to fans nationally or ESPN GamePlan and ESPN GamePlan Online."
The Aztec-Cougar game, the 29th meeting between the two teams, is the first of four SDSU Mountain West Conference home games this season.
The BYU game will mark the 22nd appearance on television for the Aztecs in their last 24 games.
