SAN DIEGO - Fourth-seeded San Diego State fell in the semifinal of the MountainWest Conference Women's Tennis Championship, 4-2, to top-seeded and 23rd-ranked Brigham Young, Friday afternoon at Barnes Tennis Center. With the loss, the Aztecs are eliminated from the conference tournament.

Brigham Young won the doubles point after taking two of the three matches. Nina Spaeth and Sisse Nielsen were first off the court after being defeated, 8-2, at No. 3. Later, the Cougars clinched the point when Dolly Chang and Lauren Jones used an 8-1 effort to down Eliska Krausova and Alesya Vidov at No. 2.
