SDSU Ends Regular Season at Cross-Town Rival San Diego Tuesday Afternoon
* San Diego State (14-9; 4-3 Mountain West Conference) puts the finishing touches on the 2005 season when it plays at city-rival San Diego (7-9) Tuesday afternoon. The match is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. start at West Tennis Courts.

Weekly Wrap Up
* San Diego State finished the past week with a record of 2-1 after defeating Long Beach State and Utah, while losing to Brigham Young.
On Senior Day versus the 49ers, the Aztecs used a doubles sweep and victories at Nos. 2-5 to post a 5-2 win over the 57th-ranked Long Beach State.
A couple days later, SDSU traveled to Brigham Young for an MWC match against the conference leaders, a contest the Aztecs lost, 6-1. San Diego State was only able to muster a doubles win at No. 2 and a singles victory at No. 6 in a losing effort.
The following day at Utah, SDSU bounced back from losing the doubles point and the first two singles matches to win four straight singles contests in its 4-3 win over the Utes. With the match tied 3-3, Dita Hauerlandova used a, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, effort to clinch the match and defeat Emily Kwok at No. 2.
Double-Double
* Winning the doubles point has been the key to SDSU's success this season. When the Aztecs win the doubles point, they are 11-2. When they sweep doubles play, the Aztecs are an impressive 8-1.
On the other hand, when SDSU loses the doubles point, it is only 3-7.
Winning at No. 1 also seems to be a good omen as the Aztecs are 10-3 when being victorious at the top spot.
Erichsen Honored
* Senior Indra Erichsen was named Mountain West Conference women's tennis player of the week for the period ending April 13. The weekly award is the first of her career and comes after winning all five of her matches last week. The accolade is the third time that an Aztec has been honored this season.
Erichsen enjoyed a week in which she posted two singles victories and three on the doubles side. At No. 4 singles, she defeated Carla Pallares in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, in SDSU's narrow 4-3 win at Colorado State. Later in the week against Long Beach State, Erichsen battled Rachael Porsz at the fourth position. The senior lost the first set, 3-6, but came back to win the second by a score of 7-6. With the outcome already decided, the third set went to a supertiebreaker with the senior coming out on top, 10-7, on Senior Day.
In doubles, she and freshman Nina Spaeth went 3-0 at No. 1. Against Wyoming, the two disposed of Corina Lazar-Amy Senko, 8-4, and posted the same score the following day when they defeated the Ram tandem of Emily Kirchem and Anne Anderson. In Erichsen's final home doubles match against the 49ers, the duo's 8-6 win clinched the doubles point for SDSU as they went on to record the 5-2 victory.
Erichsen joins Andrea Hermansen (Feb. 9) and Dita Hauerlandova (March 9) as the other Aztecs honored this season.
