STANFORD, Calif. - Aaron Choi placed fifth of 96 golfers to lead the San Diego State men's golf team to a second-place finish in the Stanford U.S. Intercollegiate at the par 70, 6,742 yard Stanford Golf Course on Sunday.

After rounds of 67 and 70 on Saturday, Choi shot a 3-over-par 73 to finish with a 54-hole even-par score of 210. He finished two shots behind Arizona State's Pat Moore for the individual title.

As a team, SDSU shot a final round score of 284 on Sunday, after rounds of 288 and 291 the day before, to finish with an 863 team total. USC won the 18-team competition with a low score of 846. Following the second-place Aztecs were Fresno State (867), UCLA (868), Stanford (869) and Arizona State (870).

SDSU's Gilberto Rodriguez tied for 12th place with a 216 (70-75-71) and teammate Andrew Scott tied in 18th place (217) after a final round 71.The Aztecs will compete in the BYU Cougar Classic this Friday and Saturday.
