PROVO, Utah - The San Diego State women's tennis team, ranked 45th nationally, lost a 6-1 decision to No. 28 Brigham Young Friday morning in Provo, Utah. The loss snaps the Aztecs' three-match winning streak and drops them to 13-9 overall and 3-3 in the Mountain West Conference.

SDSU started the morning by losing the doubles point after managing only one win. Indra Erichsen, the MWC women's tennis player of week, and Nina Spaeth were victorious at No. 2, defeating Lauren Jones and Dolly Chang by a score of 8-6.

San Diego State tasted victory only once more in singles action as Spaeth recorded the Aztecs' lone point. The freshman won the first set, 7-5, against Rebecca Pike at No. 6, but wound up losing the second, 3-6. With the outcome of the match already decided, the two went to a third set super tiebreaker, one in which Spaeth won, 10-5.
