REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. - The San Diego State lightweight boat completed its final day of competition at the Windermere Collegiate Crew Classic at Redwood Shores, Calif., on Sunday. The Windermere Cup features Henley style racing, a one-on-one or a two-boat race used for competition at the famous Henley Royal Regatta in Henley-on-Thames, England.

Wisconsin (6:42.33) led by six seconds after the first split and never looked back to win the race over the Aztecs (7:13.64).

The boat, consisting of senior Amanda Bremseth, juniors Vanessa Kenley, Coby Vandenberg and Rachael Vrooman, and sophomores Jenny Allen, Caitlin Carrion (coxswain), Deidra Little, Ashley Pfohl and Lynda Shuker, finished the prestigious two-day event with a 1-2 record. On Saturday, SDSU (7:16.59) lost to Stanford (7:05.83) before racing to a time of 7:27.88 to beat California (7:38.81) by almost 11 seconds.

The Aztecs will be back in action on Tuesday when they compete in the San Diego City Championships on the Tecolote Channel in Mission Bay.
