SDSU Looks To Extend Its Six-Match Winning Streak Against City-Rival San Diego And Hawai'i
* With sole possession of first place in the Mountain West Conference in its pocket, the San Diego State men's tennis team (10-5; 3-0 MWC) will look to continue its hot play when it hosts nationally-ranked San Diego (13-4) and unranked Hawai'i (6-10) this week at SDSU Tennis Stadium.

The Aztecs are coming off a weekend in which they swept three ranked conference schools (No. 57 Utah, No. 58 BYU and No. 40 UNLV) to take a commanding 3-0 league record. For the week, SDSU was 5-0 with its other wins coming in Santa Barbara versus No. 23 Harvard and the host Gauchos.

SDSU Looks to Get Back Into Win Column This Week Against Pepperdine, Wyoming and Colorado State
* San Diego State (10-7, 1-2 Mountain West Conference) will try to snap its two-match losing skid this Wednesday when it faces 43rd-ranked Pepperdine at SDSU Tennis Stadium. Following the match, the Aztecs will continue conference play when they take on Wyoming and Colorado State in Ft. Collins, Colo., on Saturday and Sunday.

SDSU Returns Home For Games Against Conference Foes, San Jose State and Stanford, Before Taking on Pomona-Pitzer Sunday Afternoon
* The 12th-ranked Aztecs return home for their second homestand of the season Saturday when they face conference foe San Jose State at the Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center. The following day, SDSU will play Stanford and Pomona-Pitzer in a Sunday doubleheader.

The Aztecs are coming off a 9-5 conference loss to 4th-ranked Hawai'i in Honolulu. For the season, SDSU is 10-11 overall (2-7 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) and will be looking to improve upon its 3-2 home record this weekend.

Aztecs To Compete in Azusa Pacific Meet of Champions
* SDSU will send its student-athletes to Azusa, Calif., April 9 for the Azusa Pacific Meet of Champions.

The meet begins Saturday at 11 a.m. with the women's pole vault and long jump, and the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase.

The last women's event will be the 4x400 relay at 7:40 p.m. Saturday.

SDSU Competes In Final Pre-MWC Tune-Up
*The San Diego State women's golf team travels to St. George, Utah, April 4-5, for the BYU Dixie Classic. The tournament is the Aztecs' last one before the Mountain West Conference Championships, slated for April 21-23, in Sunriver, Ore.

This week's event will be a 54-hole affair with 36 holes played on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday. Both days are 8 a.m. (MDT) shotgun starts at the par-72, 6,150-yard Entrada Golf Course at Snow Canyon.

Among the 14-team field are four Mountain West Conference schools in host BYU, Colorado State, UNLV and Wyoming. Other teams participating include: No. 16 Arkansas, Arkansas State, Boise State, Colorado, Idaho, North Texas, Oral Roberts, Portland State and Weber State.

SDSU Crew to Compete in Two Separate Events this Weekend
* The San Diego State women's crew team will be partcipating in two separate competitions this weekend. The lightweights will compete in the third annual Windermere Cup on Saturday and Sunday, April 9-10, on the Redwood Shores in Redwood City, Calif. The rest of the team will row in the San Diego City Championships at Mission Bay on April 9.
