HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - San Diego State's Andrew Scott is tied for the individual lead and his Aztec team is in third place after two rounds of play in the Irish Spring Invitational Golf Tournament, being held at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. The event is being hosted by Notre Dame.

Scott shot rounds of 70 and 71 on Monday during the 36 holes of play. His three-under-par score of 141 is tied for first with Wichita State's Judd Easterling.

As a team, the Aztecs had rounds of 301 and 292 on Monday for a 593 team total. SDSU is 20 shots behind tournament-leading Wichita State and eight shots behind Mountain West rival Colorado State for second place in the 13-team field.

Behind Scott, SDSU's Linus Nilsson is tied for 15th with a 149 (76-73). Nilsson is one of three players participating this week who did not make the trip to Hawaii for the John Burns Invitational when SDSU opened the spring season. The Aztec coaching staff is still solidifying its lineup for the spring stretch run.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
