LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The 33rd-ranked San Diego State women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to No. 48 New Mexico in a Mountain West Conference match at Fertitta Tennis Complex Saturday morning. It was the Aztecs' second straight defeat after winning their previous three matches. The Lobos improved their overall record to 9-7, 1-0 in MWC play, while SDSU falls to 10-7 and 1-2 in the MWC.

The Aztecs won two of six singles matches after losing the doubles point for the first time in five matches. SDSU's two singles victories came from Indra Erichsen and Eliska Krausova. Erichsen took down New Mexico's Nora Quintal at fourth singles by a score of 6-4, 6-2. At No. 6, Krausova earned a 6-2, 6-4 triumph over Jennifer Ryba.

At third doubles, Krausova teamed with Andrea Hermansen to take an 8-4 victory over Quintal and Lucy Scott.

San Diego State will be away from competition until April 6, when they host Pepperdine in a non-conference match at 2 p.m. at SDSU Tennis Stadium.
