<?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>San Diego State bats came alive Wednesday night in an exhibition against the Shanghai Softball team, pounding out 12 hits, two doubles and two home runs to lead the Aztecs to a 13-0 win in five innings. Katie Cochran pitched three shutout innings to pick the win, and Allison Smith went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI to lead the SDSU hitting parade. Senior Lacy Craft also went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

The Aztecs opened the scoring quickly in the first as Erin Mahoney reached on an error and was brought home by Smith's homer. It was more of the same for SDSU in the second, as Chrissie Markham opened the frame with a double, and was brought home by Craft's fielder's choice. The Aztecs scored two more in the inning on an error for Mahoney and a fielder's choice for Dani Sidoti.

The big inning, however, would be the fourth, when SDSU collected eight hits and sent 12 batters to the plate, scoring eight runs in the process. Craft had a single and a two-run homer, Tamani Wells had a pair of singles, Kristen Carranza had a two-RBI single, Meagan Hartung had a two-RBI double and Sidoti and Markham had singles to fuel the attack.

The Aztecs stay at home this weekend for the SDSU Classic, welcoming in Georgia Southern, Towson, Longwood, UC Santa Barbara and Oregon for the festivities. The full schedule is available at www.goaztecs.com.
