SAN DIEGO STATE-AIR FORCE POSTGAME QUOTES

Head Coach Steve Fisher
On The Game:
"We played as well as we could for the first 25-35 minutes. With three or four (minutes) left, I thought we still had a chance. But the last two minutes left everyone with a real sour taste. That last segement was everything you can't do. You don't want to be remembered by that last part of the game."

SDSU Player Quotes

Trimaine Davis
On The Game:
"It all starts with taking possession of the game, playing and competing hard. Playing out there takes both physical and mental strength, but when you take off a little mentally, it shows a lot physically out there on the court."

"This is not how we wanted our last home game to end with our seniors (Chris Walton, Travis Hanour, Jared Ines, Chris Manker and Tommy Johnson). For me, Tommy and I came in together and watching my teammates tonight, we owe them a lot more than how we performed."

"I know we have heart. We have the hard work behind us. We have the mentality in practice and I am a firm believer that what doesn't kill you will make you stronger and I want everyone out there to know that we are not dead yet. We are going to come back 10 times harder and 10 times stronger."

Brandon Heath
On His Performance:
" I shot the ball very poorly tonight, but Air Force is a great team and it shows. Once we penetrate inside the paint, they just collapsed. We've just got to get into a rhythm and get better shots off. We owe our seniors that much."

Air Force Head Coach Chris Mooney
On The Game
"We had fire, we had intensity, we had emotion. The first game we didn't have that. Those things show up on defense. For us to give up 33 points at half is a lot. I thought we could do a better job on those things and show more emotion and be the aggressor in the second half. And I thought we did that."

On Second-Half Defense:
We really made it hard for them to do anything. It seems like they threw the ball inside and we stole it or tipped it. Or they would lose their dribble, or they would put a shot and we contested it. We were just right on everything. It was very intense, very aggressive."
