Aztecs Lose Fifth Straight; Fall to Air Force, 77-57
• With the loss, SDSU loses its fifth consecutive and falls to 10-16 overall and 4-9 in Mountain West Conference play. The Aztecs are currently in sixth place in the MWC.
• For the eighth time in the last nine years, one team has swept the season series from each other. Air Force has swept SDSU in 2000, 2004 and 2005.


SDSU Player Notes
• Matt Thomas set a new career high with his 20 points tonight. His previous high was 14, a feat he has accomplished three times this season.
• Thomas led the team in scoring for only the second time this season and second in his career. He played a total of 38 minutes tonight, he has averaged a team-best 35.6 minutes per game in his last five contests.
• Thomas also set a new career high in free-throws made and attempted. The freshman connected on 12-of-13 from the charity stripe.
• Brandon Heath has scored in double figures (10 points) in 24 games this season and 45 times in his career.
• John Sharper has made at least one three-pointer in seven straight games. He made six of his last 12 attempts before missing his final two from beyond the arc.
• Before missing the second of two free throws in the first half, Sharper had connected on 22 of 23 free throw attempts dating back to last season.
• Tonight marked Thomas' fourth consecutive game in which he has played 30-plus minutes.
• With his 10 points off the bench, Trimaine Davis has scored in double figures in two of his last three games.

• SDSU's seniors accounted for nine of the team's first 13 points.
• Tonight's starting lineup of Chris Walton, Matt Thomas, Chris Manker, Tommy Johnson and Brandon Heath is the 14th different combination this season.
• The Aztecs' first 27 points came from six different players, with none of them being Brandon Heath or Marcus Slaughter. The two came into the averaging a combined 35.3 points per game.
