The Aztecs went to the bottom of the seventh leading 3-2 and had Celena Velasquez, who entered in relief in the sixth, on the mound, but DePaul's Saskia Roberson hit a one-out homerun to leftfield to tie it up. In the top of the eighth, SDSU was unable to take advantage of the tiebreaker, stranding Meagan Hartung at second, while the Blue Demons were able to use a sacrifice bunt and a slow rolling hit to first to score Jessica Evans from third.

SDSU picked up its runs on a Danielle Touhey single and a two-out two-RBI double by Taryin Casillas, plating Tamani Wells and Hartung. Hartung finished 2-4 on the afternoon to lead the Aztecs in hitting.

SDSU now waits for results from the final games of pool play before determining where they will play in bracket play. For complete scores and schedules, go to www.NFCA.org.
