College Sports Television (CSTV) announced today that San Diego State's baseball game against UNLV on Sunday, May 1, will be televised live on its national network. Game time will be moved to 1:30 p.m. (PDT) from its original 1:00 p.m. start time to accommodate the telecast.
The game will mark San Diego State's third appearance on CSTV in the three years that the network has been producing collegiate baseball programming. The first appearance came during the Mountain West Conference championship tournament in Albuquerque in 2003, a game in which SDSU defeated Brigham Young, 6-0.
Last season, the Aztecs' contest vs. Houston, played at PETCO Park, was carried live. That game established a new NCAA single-game attendance mark of 40,103 fans as San Diego State shut out the Cougars, 4-0.
The SDSU-UNLV contest will be one of 14 regular-season collegiate games carried live this season by CSTV.
CSTV Networks is a multi-media company that consists of the first-ever 24-hour college sports television network (College Sports TV), the leading college sports online network (CSTV.com), and the first ever 24-hour college sports radio network (SIRIUS College Sports Radio).
