San Diego State to Swim at MWC Championships in Oklahoma City
* San Diego State (5-8, 1-6 MWC) will travel to Oklahoma City to compete at the Mountain West Conference Swimming and Diving Championships which take place Wednesday through Saturday on the campus of Oklahoma City Community College. The conference meet is an all day event that will feature all eight member institutions.

SDSU Looks to Play for First Time in Nearly Two and a Half Weeks Against USC and UCI on the Road
* No. 69 San Diego State (3-2) will take on 12th-ranked Southern California (4-0) on Wednesday and follow that up with a Saturday date against 68th-ranked UC Irvine (4-3) on the road this week.

The Aztecs, who have not played since a road loss to Oregon on Feb. 6, have had three matches cancelled or rescheduled due to the rain since then. The road contests this week will be just the second and third ones of the season not inlcluding the neutral site match versus Texas Tech in Eugene.

Seventh-Ranked SDSU Heads Back to Santa Barbara for the UCSB Invitational
* After two conference-opening road defeats to Southern California and UC Santa Barbara, the Aztecs (2-4; 0-2 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) will again hit the road and return to Santa Barbara for the UCSB Invitational, Feb. 25-27.

Once SDSU arrives, they will see some familiar faces in the tournament, particularly UC Santa Barbara which is in the same pool at the Aztecs and the team they lost to on Feb. 19. More information on the tournament is in this release.

It's Championship Time!
* The SDSU track and field squad will send 19 of its members to the 2005 Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships, slated for Feb. 24-26, in Colorado Springs, Colo. The meet, which features seven other teams, will take place at the Air Force Academy's Cadet Field House for the sixth straight year.

* This week's meet schedule begins with the pentathlon on Thursday, which will include two Aztecs in senior transfer Tori Respass-Parsons and sophomore Janine Polischuk. On Friday, the finals of the weight throw, long jump, high jump, pole vault, 5,000-meter run and distance medley relay will be contested, while the majority of the finals will take place on Saturday. Competition begins at 11 a.m. (MST) Thursday and 12:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Aztecs Head to Nation's 50th State for the John Burns Intercollegiate
* The San Diego State men's golf team heads to Hawai'i for the John Burns Intercollegiate for the fourth consecutive season. The tournament is the first for the Aztecs this spring and will feature five schools that are currently ranked in the GolfWeek/Sagarin top 25 performance index (New Mexico, Auburn, Brigham Young, UNLV and Texas Tech). In total, 21 teams are expected to participate in the three-round, 54-stroke play tournament. Each round will begin with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start each day.

SDSU Opens Spring Schedule In The Bay Area
*The San Diego State women's golf team opens its spring schedule this week at the 2005 Bay Area Classic at The Golf Club at Boulder Ridge in San Jose, Calif., Feb. 21-22. The tournament is in its ninth season and is co-hosted by the University of San Francisco and San Jose State at the par-72, 6,095-yard course.

The Aztecs will be one 14 teams in the field, which also includes Mountain West Conference foe No. 42 Brigham Young and three other top 50 teams in No. 36 UC Irvine, No. 45 USF and No. 48 San Jose State. Other teams competing include Cal Poly, CS Northridge, Fresno State, Hawai'i, Long Beach State, Mississippi, Notre Dame de Namur, Portland State and Santa Clara.

Monday's round starts at 8:30 a.m., while the second round starts at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
