HONOLULU - San Diego State's swimming and diving team dropped a 173-103 decision to Hawai'i on Saturday morning at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex. The loss puts the Aztecs' record at 3-7 overall, while the Rainbow Wahine improve to 13-3.

In the 50-yard backstroke, Samantha Peters set a season-high time of 24.65 while coming in fourth. The previous season-best was Caitlin Friedhoff's 24.80, set at the UNLV Winter Invitational.

Peters was not done. Of the 12 personal-, season-best times the Aztecs set, the junior from Estes Park, Colo., eclipsed her season-best time on two other occasions (100-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle).

In the three-meter diving event, all three San Diego State divers set season highs. Kathleen Heuring came in third with 250.80 points, Lindsey Minnich finished with 236.80, good for fifth and Joelle Felton's 219.30 put her in sixth place.

The Aztecs return to the pool on Jan. 28 when they travel to Los Angeles to take on Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine on the campus of LMU. The meet is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
