-The Records: San Diego State returns to action this week for a pair of games, as the Aztecs play their final non-conference road contest at Kansas Tuesday and return home to round out 2004 Thursday against Southern Utah. SDSU recently completed a stint of three games in five days, going 1-2 during that span, to move to 3-5 overall on the year.
Kansas is 5-4 on the year with its most recent action coming Dec. 21 at Creighton. The Jayhawks have won five of their last eight games after a season-opening loss.
Southern Utah plays host to Saint Mary's Dec. 28, before heading to San Diego. The Thunderbirds carry an overall record of 4-5 into their meeting with the Gaels.
-SDSU Head Coach Jim Tomey: Tomey (Michigan '81) is in his third season at San Diego State after taking over the Aztec helm on April 9, 2002. His career and Aztec head coaching record is 20-43.
