Aztecs Back Home After Three Day Road Trip
* The San Diego State swimming and diving team (2-2, 1-2 MWC) returns to the Kroc Community Center on Friday for a meet against undefeated BYU at 1 p.m. The Aztecs will look to break a three-meet slide vs. BYU dating back to the 2000-01 season.

Weekly Recap
* On Nov. 3, the Aztecs welcomed Air Force to the Kroc Community Center for an afternoon tilt that saw SDSU defeat the Falcons, 186-113. The meet featured 12 Aztec victories, including three by junior Emily Schmied and two by senior Jennifer Arrow and sophomore Caitlin Friedhoff. In two of her victories (200 butterfly and 200 individual medley), Schmied posted team season-high marks. In the 200 fly, she finished with a time of 2:09.81 and 2:11.60 in the 200 IM. Both Friedhoff (200 freestyle) and Arrow (200 breaststroke) also set team season-high performances on their way to first place finishes. After their meet against the Academy, the Aztecs travelled to Albuquerque, N.M. for the first of three scheduled days of competition. On Nov. 4, San Diego State lost a 151-93 decision to New Mexico. Schmied took first in the 200 free with a time of 1:57.67. Friedhoff put in another strong showing as she recorded two second place finishes. Arrow and Lindsay Hnyda finished one-two in the 200 breast. The 200 free relay team of Schmied, Emily Parker, Sarah Davis, and Stephanie Chambers took first, edging out New Mexico's `B' team by 0.06 seconds. After the dual-meet, the Aztecs took part in the Lobo Invitational hosted by the University of New Mexico on Nov. 5-6. The two-day meet saw the Aztecs finish in fourth place with 525 points. Friedhoff took third in the 50 free and the 100 free (53.79). Her time of 24.95 in the 50 free was a team season-best. Freshman Katie Smith placed third in the 100 breast with a time of 1:09.21.

Brigham Young Series History
* The Aztecs have lost three consecutive meets in a row to the Cougars, including a 173-123 loss at Provo, Utah. In those three meets, San Diego State has given up an average of more than 150 points, while only scoring an average of 109. Last year, the Aztecs put up a good fight, winning a total of six events. Megan Storey took first in the 1000 free and the 200 fly. Friedhoff finished ahead of the pack in both the 50 and the 100 free events while posting career-bests in the process. Despite the loss, San Diego State's point total of 123 is the most the Aztecs have scored against the Cougars in the last three meetings.
