ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The San Diego State swimming and diving team dropped a 151-93 decision to New Mexico, Thursday in the Lobos' Seidler Natatorium. The loss drops the Aztecs to 1-2 in the Mountain West (2-2 overall), while New Mexico record stands at 1-2 in the MWC (1-3 overall).

SDSU picked up first-place finishes from Emily Schmied in the 200-yard freestyle, Jennifer Arrow in the 200-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Schmied, Sarah Davis, Emily Parker and Stephanie Chambers.

Schmied was not the only Aztec with a solid performance as Chambers grabbed runner-up finishes in the 1000-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle to finish the day. Arrow netted a runner-up finish with the SDSU 200-yard medley relay team that also included Lindsay Hnyda, Katie Smith and Samantha Peters.

SDSU stays in Albuquerque for the New Mexico Invitational, Friday and Saturday at the Siedler Natatorium.
