LARAMIE, Wyo. - The San Diego State swimming and diving team dropped a 173-119 decision to the Wyoming Cowgirls on Saturday afternoon. The meet was their second in consecutive days for the Aztecs who fell to 1-4 in the Mountain West Conference.
Sophomore Caitlin Friedhoff led the way for the Aztecs by setting a season-best time of 24.90 in the 50-yard freestyle. The previous top time was 24.95 set by Friedhoff at the Lobo Invitational (Nov. 5).
Friedhoff also posted a pair of second-place finishes. She swam a 1:57.82 in the 200-yard freestyle and a 53.80 in the 100-yard freestyle.
The next meet for the Aztecs takes place Monday at the Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center when they face conference foe Colorado State at 1 p.m.
