Aztecs To Compete in 2004 MWC Women's Soccer Championship

The San Diego State Aztecs will compete in the 2004 Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Championship hosted by Brigham Young University this week at South Stadium in Provo, Utah.

*San Diego State and BYU tied for second-place in the conference with 3-1-2 records. The Cougars (7-9-4 overall) will get the second seed after earning the tie break advantage due to goal differential in conference matches.

*The Aztecs will play sixth-seeded New Mexico (5-11, 1-5 MWC) at 4:30 p.m. (MST) in one quarterfinal match on Wednesday. In other games on Wednesday, No. 2 Brigham Young (7-9-4, 3-1-2 MWC) will host seventh-seeded Air Force (3-12-2, 0-5-1 MWC) at 7 p.m. (MST) and No. 4 Utah (11-5-2, 3-2-1 MWC) will meet fifth-seeded Wyoming (9-6-4, 3-3-0 MWC) at 2 p.m. (MST).
