SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's golf team finds itself in 16th place overall following first day action of the Las Vegas Founders Women's Collegiate in Henderson, Nev. The Aztecs combined for a 37-over 325 Monday at the par-72, 6,194-yard Anthem Country Club. Fourth-ranked Washington leads the field with a six-over 294, while the Aztecs are three strokes behind 15th place Texas A&M (322).

Individually, senior Megan Mulhaupt (Trabuco Canyon, Calif.) had the best round of the day for SDSU with a six-over 78 to tie for 32nd on the individual leader board. Mulhaupt birdied the eighth, 15th and 16th holes, while also recording six pars.

Just one stroke separates the Aztecs' next two golfers, as team captain senior Veronica Ojeda (San Diego, Calif.) carded an 81 (+9) with three birdies. Sophomore Jamie Oliver (Los Alamitos, Calif.) had six pars on her first eight holes and went on to record a 10-over 82.

Freshmen Anna Booth (Coffs Harbour, Australia) and Jackie Kazarian (Dana Point, Calif.), meanwhile, are 74th (12-over 84) and 83rd (15-over 87), respectively.

Texas Tech's Megan Hull and San Francisco's Jessica Potter are tied for the individual lead at one-under 71.

SDSU will tee-off between 9:30 and 10:06 PST Tuesday morning in second round action. The third and final round Wednesday starts at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
