Volleyball Falls 3-0 At Brigham Young

PROVO, Utah - Brigham Young got double figures in kills from four players en route to a 3-0 (30-25, 31-29, 30-23) win over San Diego State in Provo, Utah, Friday evening. It was the fourth straight win for the Cougars who improved to 9-6 overall and 3-1 in the Mountain West Conference. The Aztecs, meanwhile, suffered their third consecutive defeat and fell to 1-16 (1-3 MWC) on the season.

Melissa Stapley led SDSU with 13 kills, her eighth match in double figures in kills this fall. Freshman Lindsey Mahan chipped in with 10 kills and, along with teammate Audra Dent, recorded four blocks over the three games.

BYU's Kim Wilson matched Stapley's 13 kills and was joined in double figures by fellow Cougars Lindsy Hartsock (11), Lexi Brown (10) and Erica Lott (10).

San Diego continues its road trip on Saturday (Oct. 9) when it visits Salt Lake City to take on Utah at 7:00 p.m. (MDT).
