SAN DIEGO - The UNLV women's soccer team defeated San Diego State, 3-0, before a SDSU women's soccer Sports Deck record crowd of 571 people on Saturday afternoon. The Rebels finished 5-1 in the Mountain West Conference to win their first MWC regular season title and earned the No. 1 seed in next week's MWC Tournament at Provo, Utah. The Aztecs (6-7-5, 3-1-2) concluded their regular season tied for second in the MWC with Brigham Young but will be seeded third after Cougar's better goal differential.

SDSU outplayed UNLV outshooting the Rebels, 13-5, for the match and 8-1 in the first half. UNLV managed only four shots on goal in the game, with three of shots finding the back of the net.

Heather Killoch (25:52), Angie Inzana (61:48) and Katie Carney (87:03) each had goals for the Rebels, while Jenna Huff played all 90 minutes and made eight saves for her eighth shutout of the season.

UNLV's goal in the 26th minute was the first by an Aztec opponent in 595 minutes, 44 seconds, an SDSU record.

Sophomore Jen Klunder led the Aztecs with four shots (two on goal). Senior Noelle Jouglet, junior Amanda Swiader and freshman Casey Davidson contributed two shots apiece.

SDSU will meet sixth-seeded New Mexico on Wednesday at South Stadium in Provo, Utah at a time yet to be determined.
