SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State Aztecs have finalized their 2004 fall softball exhibition schedule, beginning with an Oct. 8 home game against Arizona Western Community College. A 2 p.m. start time has been scheduled for the game at SDSU Field.
After a brief homestand, the Aztecs will begin a three-game road trip the very next day. San Diego State will travel to Cal State Northridge for a 1 p.m. contest on Saturday, Oct. 9. The team will continue its road trip on Oct. 10, when it takes on Loyola Marymount University at 10 a.m.
After a week off, the Aztecs are scheduled to conclude their road stretch in San Diego as the team will participate in a 100-Inning Fundraiser to be held at the University of San Diego Softball Complex on Sunday, Oct. 17.
Following the Oct. 17 fundraiser, SDSU returns to SDSU Field for the San Diego Fall Tournament, Oct. 23-24. Five schools in the San Diego area are scheduled to compete including SDSU, USD, Point Loma, UCSD and Palomar Junior College. The Aztecs play two games Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. against Palomar and at 4 p.m. versus Point Loma. SDSU concludes fall play a day later with a 2 p.m. start against UCSD.
Admission to all fall softball events are free and the games do not count towards the 2005 season record.
