Final Stats

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - San Diego State went to New Mexico looking to upset the No. 5 team in the nation, but the Lobos came out and quickly dominated the Aztecs to claim the victory 3-0. SDSU falls to 1-7-1 and 1-1 in the MPSF. New Mexico moves to 7-0 and 1-0 in the MPSF.

New Mexico controlled every facet of the game, leading the Aztecs in shots (17-7), shots on goal (6-1) and corners (8-3). Five different SDSU players took shots in the game, including two each by Colin Jennings and Dione Scott. Despite giving up three goals and facing pressure throughout, Aztec goalkeeper Tally Hall made outstanding saves in the 18th, 37th and 87th minutes, the last in a one-on-one situation.

SDSU now gets a well deserved break from the road, taking a week off before welcoming conference foe Air Force for an Oct. 8 match set for 4 p.m.
