SAN DIEGO - Our schedule this fall is fairly similar to that of last year with a few notable exceptions. For the first time in several years we are taking an eight to the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta, which is held on the Charles River in Boston, Mass.
We are also adding an Alumni and Family Fun day to our fall schedule which will include an alumni race, breakfast, and a learn-to-row session for the parents/friends. All are encouraged to attend and the alumni race will begin at 8:30am with breakfast and a parent's row to follow. If you are an alumnus who is interested in rowing in the alumni race please contact Alicia Stuebner.
Finally the Aztecs are going to enter their novice eights in the Row for the Cure, which is held on Mission Bay on October 31. The Row for the Cure is held along with the Race for the Cure, which raises funds for the awareness and treatment of breast cancer. The composite schedule for the fall is as follows:
October 23-24: Head of the Charles Regatta- Boston, Mass. (varsity only)
October 30: Alumni and Family Fun Day - Mission Bay in San Diego, Calif.
October 31: Row for the Cure - Mission Bay in San Diego, Calif. (novice only)
November 7: Newport Autumn Rowing Festival - Newport Beach, Calif.
November 14: San Diego Fall Classic - San Diego, Calif.
We look forward to seeing you at the races. GO AZTECS!
