DAVIS, Calif. - San Diego State men's soccer played even soccer with UC Davis Friday evening, but was unable to find the win, losing on a late goal 1-0. The Aggies improve their season record to 2-4-1. SDSU falls to 1-5-1 on the year.

UC Davis and SDSU battled for 85 minutes to a scoreless deadlock, but Aggie senior Johnny Yau (85:22) sent a shot in from 25 yards out to score the game winner. The Aztecs had chances at the equalizer in the closing minutes, but a shot off a rebound from Freddy McDonald was deflected wide by an UC Davis defender.

Stat wise, the game was a virtual tie. The Aztecs held a slim lead in shots 12-11, but the teams tied on shots on goal 4-4. SDSU led in corner attempts 5-4. Individual highlights for the Aztecs include seniors Blake Perry (2 SOG) and Eric Wohl (1 SOG).

SDSU continues its season-long four game road trip with a match Sunday at Saint Mary's, scheduled for 1 p.m.
