SDSU Men's Soccer Travels To Riverside Looking For First Win San Diego State, looking for its first win on the season, travels to UC Riverside Thursday for a 3 p.m. match. The Aztecs (0-2) have never lost to the Highlanders in eight all-time games between the teams. Including a 2-1 win last season, SDSU holds a 6-0-2 advantage in the series, including a 1-0-2 mark in Riverside. UCR (1-1) opened its season with a 2-1 win against Cal-State Fullerton, before falling 1-0 to No. 7 UCLA. The Highlanders are led by junior midfielder Scott Barnett, who has two goals on the season, and goalkeeper Chris Alamo. Following the Riverside match, the Aztecs will take a week off before returning to action on Sept. 17, against Michigan State in the SDSU/USD tournament, which also features a Sept. 19 game against Dartmouth. The MSU game is scheduled for 4 p.m., and the Dartmouth match is set for a 2 p.m. start.
