SAN DIEGO, Calif. -The San Diego State softball team is offering the SDSU softball camp from July 19-22 at SDSU Field on the San Diego State University campus. The camp is for girls ages 9-18. The SDSU coaching staff, as well as current and former players, will instruct the campers.
The camp for ages 9-13 focuses on the basic fundamentals in all aspects of softball, including pitching and catching, and there will be a scrimmage at the end of each camp session. The advanced camp for ages 14-18 is geared toward high school, travel ball and junior college athletes and will have hands-on training in all aspects of the game, including throwing, fielding, hitting, sliding, base running, pitching and catching. Simulated games will be played with a strong focus placed on game situations.
The cost of the camp is $150 if done during early registration (by July 2) and is $175 following that date. Space is limited to 60 campers per group to ensure quality instruction so make sure to register early.
