TEMPE, Ariz. - San Diego State shot 293 and 285 to finish at two-under 578 after 36 holes at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational in Tempe, Ariz. No. 42 SDSU sits in 15th place heading into the final 18-holes on Saturday. Andrew Scott led SDSU after shooting 71 in the morning and afternoon to finish at two-under 142. No. 7 Arizona State is in fifth place, in the tournament that includes 13 top 50 schools, after shooting 548 on in the opening two rounds.
Scott sits in 30th heading into Saturday after shooting under par in back-to-back rounds. Mark Warman and Aaron Goldberg are tied at three-over 147. Warman opened with a 72 and shot 75 in the afternoon. Golberg began with a 78 before firing a 69 in the afternoon, the best round of the day for SDSU. Chris Cole also improved in the afternoon as he posted scores of 79 and 70 and is in 68th.
