SAN DIEGO - UNLV scored in each of the first six innings, getting a pair of home runs from shortstop Peter White along the way, as it defeated San Diego State, 10-5, Sunday afternoon at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

After taking two of three from the Rebels over the weekend, the Aztecs (18-19 overall) find themselves tied atop the Mountain West Standings with UNLV (20-10) at 7-2.

The visitors struck for a run in the their first at bat, the first of five surrendered by SDSU starter Chris Hartshorn, who took the loss to even his record at 4-4. The Aztecs came back in the bottom of the inning to knot the score at 1-1, with Rielly Embrey's sacrifice fly scoring Landon Burt from third base.

After the opening frame, UNLV began to pull away steadily, plating three runs in the second to take a 4-1 lead. The Aztecs got one back on a solo home run by Chad Corona in the bottom of that inning, but that was as close as they would get the rest of the afternoon as the bullpen was unable to contain the Rebel offense.
