Win Streak Comes to End for Aztec Women's Tennis

SAN DIEGO - The 29th-ranked New Mexico women's tennis team defeated 73rd-ranked San Diego State 7-0 on Saturday morning in Colorado Springs, Colo. The loss snapped the Aztecs season-tying three-game winning streak.

San Diego State fell to 8-13 overall and 4-3 in Mountain West Conference play.

The Lobos claimed the highlight match of the day featuring two of the top doubles teams in the country. The 25th-ranked duo of Sandy Lukowski and Maja Kovacek of New Mexico defeated 31st-ranked Katalina Romero and Indra Erichsen, 8-5.

The Aztecs will be back in action on Tuesday when SDSU entertains San Diego. Match time at the SDSU Courts is set for 2 p.m. PDT.
