SAN DIEGO - San Diego State earned the doubles point and then went on to win the first five singles matches to cruise to a 6-1 victory in a MWC matchup against Wyoming on Saturday at the SDSU courts. The Aztecs, ranked 69th nationally, improved to 7-12 overall and 3-2 in conference action.
Dita Hauerlandova earned wins at both No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles, including a 6-3, 6-1 victory in singles. Hauerlandova was teamed with Alesya Vidov for the doubles matchup where they earned an 8-4 win. The team of Katalina Romero and Patricia Graf gave SDSU the doubles point with a 9-8 victory in the No. 2 spot. Romero, Vidov and Graf each earned wins in singles action at No. 2, 3, and 4, respectively, and dropping only eight games overall. Sarah Sansom earned the last Aztec point with a 6-4, 6-4 victory in the No. 5 position.
SDSU's next matchup will be at Air Force on Friday, April 16, beginning at 2 p.m. MDT.
