SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State lightweight boat (7:35.5) finished second in a race held Sunday at Mission Bay in San Diego. The University of San Diego won (7:28) while UC San Diego was third (7:48). The race was held without official weigh-ins.
"The lightweights rowed really well and their technique has improved tremendously over the last month," head coach Jennifer Zebroski said.
The Aztecs host Alumni and Family Day on March 13 with festivities beginning at 7:30 a.m. The alumni race begins at 8:30 a.m., four boats will be christened at 9:45 a.m. and a "Learn to Row" session begins at 10 a.m.
