SAN DIEGO - San Diego State won four singles matches to edge No. 53 Cal Poly 4-3 on Saturday at the SDSU courts. No. 28 SDSU earned its second victory over a ranked opponent and improved to 3-0 on the season when Alesya Vidov clinched the match with a victory at No. 4 singles 3-6, 6-4, 7-5.
SDSU's No. 1 doubles team of Indra Erichsen and Katalina Romero earned an 8-6 victory but Cal Poly won the two other doubles matches to earn the point. But Romero and Erichsen along with Dita Hauerlandova each won their singles matches setting up the clinching win by Vidov in three sets.
The Aztecs next match is Thursday (Feb. 12) vs. Pepperdine at 2 p.m. on the SDSU courts.
