TUCSON, Ariz. - San Diego State's women's golf team played through stormy conditions to finish day one at 31-over par, 315, and in 10th place at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational. The day was delayed 45 minutes in the morning because of rain and the round was played through continual rain, sleet and heavy winds. Ohio State leads after shooting +1, 285, over a field that has 11 teams in the top 40 of the latest Golfweek rankings.
Junior Heather MacRae continued the spring where she left off the fall, leading SDSU with a three-over 75 to tie for 17th. Senior Shayna Miyajima shot 76 and is tied for 22nd. Freshmen Jenna Wilson and Jamie Oliver finished the scoring for SDSU by shooting 80 and 84, respectively.
The tournament concludes with 18-hole rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday.
